Boston Bruin Armand “Bep” Guidolin plays his first game for the Boston Bruins in Toronto.

November 12, 1942

The Bruins lose 3-1 to the Maple Leafs, as Guidolin (16 years and 11 months) becomes the youngest player in National Hockey League history. Like other teams, the Bruins roster had been depleted by Canadian players who had left to serve in World War II, as Guidolin would two seasons later. He returns play for the Bruins, then other teams, and goes on to coach the Bruins between 1972 and 1974.
